- It is as easy to furl the sail: ease the sheet, pull the continuous furling line and secure it.
- Once the sail is furled it can be neatly dropped and coiled into a bag or left hoisted for later use.
CX – GX conversion
If you have both a asymmetric / gennaker AND a code 0, you can use a single drum and halyard swivel, and a single furling line, for both sails.
You will need to start with a CX, system as you normally would for the Code 0; and add a Free Tack adapter and an AT rope for the asymmetric.
As with a CX implementation, the drum and the furling line can be permanently mounted to the bow and along the stanchions. You just clip the sail you need to use to the drum at the tack, and to the halyard swivel at the top, hoist, and sail away.
