I want to thank you for the beautiful spinnaker you made for my 2022 Catalina 355 #168 “Morning Glory”. The attached pictures were taken during our annual 26nm Ocean Challenge Race from St. Simons Island, GA to Amelia Island, FL on October 7th. We missed 1st place by only 45 seconds PHRF adjusted time, and believe me it was not the sail’s fault, just a boneheaded mistake on my part. We unfurled the spinnaker for the first time just after the start of the downwind race, with most of the winds which ranged from 4kts to an average of 12kts, and gusts to 20kts and apparent wind angle ranging from 85-125 degrees. The sail performed flawlessly and even better when we raised the tack a couple of feet.

The last time it was up, the wind went from ten k it’s to 23 in seconds. No self furler. Was pretty brutal!

All in all a great sail.
We are on an 88 mile passage from Tahuata Island (Baie Hanatefau) anchorage. We were able to swim with spinner dolphins and got to a beautiful Easter mass at the local village church. The snorkeling was really cool in the anchorage and we even saw 3 octopus. Our sail started out slow as we got caught in the lee of Hiva Oa for a few miles. We flew our spinnaker in 6-10 knots of wind at 70-120 degree apparent wind for 30 miles until dark. We then brought out the working sails for the last 20 miles with 10-15 knots of wind at 90 degrees true. Great trip!

Making the extra effort to deliver just before the holiday period really made my Christmas. I finished the rigging on Christmas Eve. And then the winds cooperated with gentle winds out of the SSE on Christmas morning. Brilliant for a first time Asy sail for the two of us (my wife and I). We managed several gybes and did a few take downs and re-deployments just for practice. Our confidence got better and better as the afternoon sea breeze kicked in for some real off the beam reaches in moderate easterlies.
The next day we went right up the lake (Lake Macquarie) and headed back to our home mooring in Kilaben Bay at the end of the day.
We are thrilled with our new Asy and can’t wait to take her out on the ocean.

Our boat is a Jeanneau 49 2, 2005 model located in Sotogrande, Spain. I found the buying process very satisfying and the web layout and choices very easy to navigate. I had a few questions related to length of the leech and got all the answers I needed directly from your sales person. The spinnaker is used for cruising and we were genuinely positively surprised by the good shape and the quality of cloth and work done on the sail. It has now been used for almost 2 years and its a super adition to the sailwardrobe. The main and genoa is North sails and this spinnaker is a good match. We use it with a sock and the shape allows also in light conditions and with winds more from the aft to use it with the spinnaker boom as well making it a very diversative sail. We have had a lot of sails during our sailing career both in cruising and regatta boats and would say that this is definitely a super buy with excellent price and value. Please do not hesitate to use me as a reference.

I have owned my asym for a year now and I am really happy with it. I went with the tricolor which was the most affordable. Smooth sailing and well built. Really nice spinnaker. Just wish it would have come a little faster (took 3.5 weeks)

Je navigue sur un Beneteau Oceanis 44 CC. J’ai pris volontairement un spi d’une taille en dessous de celle qui est indiquée par Beneteau car je navigue souvent en équipage réduit, et je voulais un spi maniable y compris sans chaussette.
Je suis un utilisateur assidu et je mets le spi dès que je peux, je l’affale aussi relativement loin, c’est à dire jusqu’à parfois 20 noeuds de vent réel. Pour moi c’est le moyen d’avoir un bateau stable et c’est une question de sécurité .
Notre bateau est en Espagne, et après avoir testé le spi sur de petites traverses (Baléares ou Corse), nous avons fait la Transat. Sur le trajet Cap Vert Antilles le spi a été à poste 2/3 du temps au moins, jour et nuit.
Au delà de 120 degrés du vent, j’utilise aussi mon asymétrique avec un tangon comme symétrique. Avec de bons réglages, les performances sont très honnêtes.
Bref, je suis très content du spinnaker.

“ J’aurais souhaité des conseils plus précis à l’achat sur la taille, car j’ai finalement choisi un spinnaker un peu trop grand (par rapport à la taille de l’étai). Je trouve dommage que pour un bateau de série dont les dimensions sont connues, vous ne conseillez pas une taille précise (en mettant des réserves sur les éventuelles modifications apportées au gréement).
De plus le vendeur m’avait expliqué que par rapport à la taille du bateau la chaussette n’était pas nécessaire et je ne l’avais donc pas commandée initialement, alors que pour ma navigation en équipage réduit et familial, c’est vraiment un plus.
Je trouve la voile bien faite.

Estoy muy satisfecho con la atención recibida, tanto por el asesoramiento técnico como por el trato humano. El espinaker asimétrico funciona a la perfección. La funda es muy práctica y además me la enviaron personalizada con el nombre del barco.

Buena relación precio-calidad, buen servicio en genera. El proceso de compra fue correcto, quizá faltó algo de agilidad en la comunicación. Pero hubo un retraso en considerable en la entrega, entiendo que puede haber una acumulación de pedidos por la época del año (el pedido se realizó a finales de Julio), pero creo que debería informarse correctamente de los plazos de entrega. En cualquier caso, tengo que agradeceros que rapidamente se realizó una compensación económica por el retraso, por lo cual tengo que felicitaros.
